Summer

I know I harp on about how much I hate the summer heat, but we are just about smack bang in the middle of winter and while I'm loving being rugged up, I miss long summer days where daylight just doesn't seem to want to leave.

These are photos from earlier this year when I was at The Gold Coast and stayed at this amazing waterfront house. Needly to say we all never wanted to leave, sigh!

Happy Friday!

Early Mornings

I love the peacefulness and exclusivity that early mornings provide. Wherever you are, no matter how scenic, there's something amazing about rising early. From that, you would be correct in thinking that I'm a morning person, I just love the mornings so much more. Even on my days off, I feel like it's such a waste of day if I sleep in past 8am.

Early mornings in the city takes me back to when I used to live there, especially around Hyde Park. It's amazing how much you take for granted until you no longer have it. I used to walk through Hyde Park at least twice a day and never gave it much thought half the time. Now, even with the bums and endless seagulls pooping on everything, I find it magical.

The city itself I find amazing, the early morning rays (and less crowds) makes it even more magical.

Sun & Stripes

Finally the rain, gloominess and humidity has stopped. I figure if it's going to be hot, it should at least be sunny, not miserable and hot.

How cool is this Finders Keepers Hold Up Long Sleeve Dress? I love the hem and I really have never met a stripe I didn't like. It's apparently the last week of summer, though I don't think the heat is going away just like that, I wanted a last rendezvous with these gladiator heels. They'd look ridiculous for everyday wear, but I love their flippancy, so they only really come out once in a blue moon.

I hope you have a great weekend ahead!

Spring Into Action!

Spring Into Action

I have always had a massive style crush on the blogger Julie Sarinana of Sincereleyjules.com. She always manages to look fresh and immaculately put together, not to mention she loves her punchy colours! Someone who incorporates colours into their wardrobe, the brighter the better, is a win in my books!

She recently collaborated with Meredith Wendell to create this gorgeous bag. I have been on the market for a small cross body that stands out. What's really grabbed me is the amazing colour palette of this bag. It has just enough colours to create interest if you're wearing a neutral or all black outfit, yet it's neutral enough even for a retina burning techni-colour dreamcoat, what's not to love?

The above Polyvore Collage is my entry to her contest, which you can find more info here --> SincerelyJules Saucy Pan Contest. I have always wanted to try out Polyvore and surprised at how easy it was to use, considering this is my first time, the collage isn't that bad, if I say so myself.

My toes, eyes and fingers are crossed I get picked. Mumma needs a new bag (ok, maybe NEED isn't the word, DESPERATE for a new bag!)
