Neon Splice

Nothing like a bright jumper to brighten up and lift your mood. This Forever 21 jumper is by far my most favourite one so far, I had to get it in another colour before I left the U.S.

These cool new flats are another eBay gem. I picked them up for less than $12 and they have a leopard section at the back which drew me to them in the first place.

Vest and Sneakers

This military vest is another great bargain find at $20. I have been scouring for one for a while that was long enough and had a great fit. This vest is actually 2 sizes bigger than what I'd normally take. I tried on the 2 smaller sizes and it just didn't feel right. Being able to cinch it at the waist with drawstrings made the fit just perfect. Don't be scared of the sizing tags. This is why I am welcoming the boyfriend-fit phenomena with open arms. Comfy and baggy dressing has never looked so cool.

To be honest with you, I didn't think this outfit through. But looking back at these pictures, I'm loving all the juxtaposition with the adrogynous loose fit vest and the sparkly sequinned bodycon dress.The only way you'd get me into anything bodycon is when it's draped with a loose item over it. Let's just say the term "bodycon" is very appropriate. The purple Izzy's was needed to add some colour into this outfit.

Quilted

Today the weather decided it would be funny to be summer again. Just to continue the inappropriate dressing, I also decided to wear faux leather. Lesson learnt!

I'm actually quite excited about this outfit. As the cooler months are coming to Australia, I've embraced the whole faux leather thing. I'm on a budget you see, my unemployed status doesn't really allow for extragavant leather pieces. But with all these amazing quilted skirts and shorts I've seen floating around, I couldn't help but wonder if I could find budget friendly pieces. Honestly, eBay is the best place for such bargains. I found this quilted shorts for $9.99! I've also been coveting a leather tee, and I made a promise to myself that once I'm able to afford it, I would invest in one, but for the meantime, this $24.95 faux leather version will have to do. The cut and fit is exactly what I had wanted so i'm pretty damn excited about finding it at such a bargain price.

Im not sure if my whole black ensemble was inspired by my emo black hair or my all black bargain purchases has inspired me to go back to black hair, either way, i'm loving it all for now. But the inner rainbow/neon loving girl inside will always come out, even if it's just in a form of nailpolish colour.

Gloomy Day Brights

Autumn has finally hit Sydney. The weather has been a lot cooler and certainly a lot wetter the past few days. Today I had to run some errands in the city and actually needed to wear a light scarf. So i'm a little excited!

Gloomy days always makes me want to wear bright colours. The more colours I can incorporate into an outfit, without looking crazy, the better! I've also been meaning to wear this white blazer that I picked up for $14.95. I've been wanting a while blazer for ages. I have always dreamed of wearing a white pants suit. Im just scared to buy white pants as I know I won't wear them that much.

I'm also loving this Michael Kors Selma bag. I love bags but there are certain brands I love and honestly Michael Kors was not one of them. None of the designs piqued my interest. I was sitting at a cafe having breakfast with a friend one day and this girl walks past with this bright coloured bag that just caught my eye. I was surprised to see it was Michael Kors.

The saffiano leather for the price point that it is, is just a little too exciting for me. I wore it all day today stuffing a scarf and pulling a drink bottle in and out of it all day. I've also only washed these kelly green jeans once and it had transferred a bit of colour into one of my other bags, but no transfer had happened on this bag. I also want to point out the roomy 5 pockets in the interior of the bag, premium designers ever hardly provide more than 2 for you. 

So if you love a structured bag that can be worn cross body, slung on the shoulders or carried on the crook of your arm, then this is definitely worth checking out!
