Feels Like Spring

It's been a while since I've done blog photos. I just felt un-inspired and felt like it was the same old thing. While this location isn't new and it's still the same old me, today just felt different. There was something in the air, apart from all the bees and I swear one got stuck in my hair!

I'm also too excited about this Willow skirt. I've been lusting over it for so long but I never wanted to bite the bullet and pay the $650 price tag. As much as I loved it, I knew I would never wear it nearly as much to compensate for the price. A few months later, I decided to google the skirt and it showed up on The Real Real for $50USD and it was lo-behold, my size! I put it in the cart and I am offered $25USD off my first purchase AND a further 30% off!!! At this point I am ready to get down on my knees and start wailing with excitement. In the end I paid more for shipping than the actual skirt. It's been my biggest bargain to date!

I've had it for a few months and have been quite self conscious about wearing it, but today I said fuck it! I'll make it work, and even if it doesn't, I'll pretend like I have. The gigantic ducks didn't seem to mind *shrugs* Did you know ducks hiss? Hiss when they're angry?! As per my expression on the very last picture.

Anyhoos, hope to be a lot more inspired in the future. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

My Kind Of Neutrals

Really loving all the softer neutral pallettes lately. Think icy greys, whites and barely there pastels, these are all great transitional colours. Although I don't really believe that certain colours are only meant to be worn in certain seasons, but I find myself gravitating more towards the cooler and paler shades during summer. Maybe it's drilled in my subconscious that the lighter the clothing, the more it will repel the suns rays. The heat is definitely not my friend, but I have to live with it and I might aswell enjoy it fashion-wise.

Have a fab weekend!

Darker

This is the reason why I love Winter, comfortable and cosy outfits like this. Simple, no fuss and hassle free.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I feel like I have a closet full of clothes with nothing to wear. Sounds like a cliche'd first world dilemma. I am not whingeing or being ungrateful, cos if anything I am very thankful for what I have. I guess I'm just in a clothing rut. I also don't think the solution is to go out and buy more clothes. The clothes that I have in my closet are more than enough and it works for my current lifestyle. Maybe I'm just having Winter blues. Whatever it is, I know it's not permanent so I'm just riding it out until I get excited my clothes again.

Until then, bear with me!

Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Lookout

A few months back, we had driven out to this lookout to see the full moon rise, only to find out the gates would close at 5pm, which is basically when the moon starts to rise during the Winter. So it was a failed attempt. But I'd always been curious to see what the place was like and the weekend gave us amazing Winter weather.

It's amazing to be able to see a glimpse of the high rise city buildings and The Harbour Bridge in the distance. I can only imagine how amazing a full moon would look in this lookout.

Lately I can't seem to stop wearing these converse sneakers. They are probably the oldest thing I own and they never really fail me. Plus I never thought I would think of white pants/jeans as a wardrobe staple. I'm glad they have been very forgiving, stain wise, I always stain light coloured bottoms. White jeans are a great look for any season, but during Winter just gives an outfit a crisp fresh look.

Have a great week!

Coated Wine

Just a quick hello to say Winter is finally in full force (hallelujah!)!!! Though I am uncomfortably freezing, I love it! If I could drape myself in leather, I would! I'm only really just missing a pair of leather pants, one day I will own one, but for now I will have to settle for the leather look. I am especially loving all the coated denims. They have a leathery look, but with the ease and comfort of jeans.

These wine coloured jeans are from Cotton On. I am really loving their newer skinny jeans range. They are vertically-challenged friendly, in that they are actually skinny legged all the way through. Most of the skinnies I've purchased, when hemming, I've had to actually taper the legs so they hug my ankles. The pitfalls of being short, le sigh!

You can't see the front pocket zips here but these are the Zippy Coated in Wine, they also come in black and they are ankle grazers. I love love love this colour too, it's a perfect Winter colour. I also stumbled upon their Basic Tees range called The One, they are so comfy and it might sound ridiculous, but it is so hard to find crew neck tees that fit perfectly, so these might actually be...The One!

Happy Weekend! Hurrah!
