Out With The Old, In With The Not-So-New

I'm a shop-a-holic at heart, although lately I've really really tried to cut down (I swear!).

I remember my dad telling me ages ago when I first got a job and started earning money, that there will always be nice things out there and really think about what you're buying. Those words really ring true when I start to over stuff my mental wish list.

I've had this grey drop waist ASOS dress for a while now and have always been meaning to do something to it. While it looks nice in the elephant gray, can't really go wrong with that colour, I thought I'd spruce it up a bit and add some colour. Grey and pink is probably one of my fave colour combos.

The Tony Bianco shoes were bought for this purpose. I loved the toe cap look and nothing out there really stood out for me. I didn't want the boring metallic toe caps that every brand and copy-cat-brand brought out and at the time I couldn't find any with a colour combo that grabbed me. I decided to hit eBay and scored these brand new Tony Bianco shoes in white pearl for $60, these retails for $129.95, and the shoe paints I already had lying around.

I mixed some colours to get the desired nude blush for the body and just the right pink for the toe area. I was well chuffed with the result as the colours are very versatile for me and my wardrobe.

Givenchy and Fireworks

Yesterday was Australia Day, this day always brings out the masses to the harbour to await the amazing fireworks display. The days humidity called for an airy lace dress. Even if I'd walked out of the house naked, I don't think that would have kept me any cooler. So I kept simple and fuss free.

This Givenchy Antigona is perfect for a fuss-free day in any crowds. The leather and material is durable and nothing penetrates through it so I'm not afraid of stains or people accidentally bumping into it. I'm a crazy bag lady, while I don't baby them, I always like to ensure I plan out what I carry in different situations.

Hope everyone in Oz is having a fab long weekend!

ATG Women - Deserving of All The Hype

The infamous ATG neoprene bikinis have been on my radar for some time now. I first discovered these on Instagram and instantly fell in-love. Then Lara Bingle took it to new heights when she donned a pair of the zipped fronts on the cover of CLEO.

Every boutique in Australia has had such a high demand for these babies that ATG could not even keep up with their orders. As far as I know, there has been an order delay for 2 months now and all pre-orders in all colours, styles and shapes are rapidly being filled.

My zip front were on pre-order from a certain Bondi boutique and I was told I'd get them first week of January, not the case. I rang around and got lucky as a return had just been made in the size, style and colour I wanted. A massive thanks to Bec from The Joy Stores who helped me out and shipped them out asap. The ATG gods were on my side that day.

All ATG Bikinis are reversible if you don't mind showing the ATG print and your size showing.

P.S Will be selling the bikini bottoms that came with the zipped fronts as they are not a flattering cut for me. Please get in contact with me if you are interested.

Toodles!

Ankle Biters

I have this issue where I crave for winter clothes, shoes and accessories during the summer months. It may have something to do with the fact that half the world is in the middle of winter right now and all im seeing are photos of people in their cute beanies and booties.

Recently i've had a hankering for some cool ankle boots. I bought the Chloes recently and cannot wait for the cooler months so I can wear them without sweating like a hog.

Naked Without The Following...

Leaving the house for me without accessories would be like not wearing underwear, something would be missing.

I am not an interesting dresser. The basic the clothes the better and I live in basic tees, shorts or jeans. Though when it comes to accessories, the bigger the statement it makes the better.

This is just a glimpse of my accessories. I am trying very hard not to add to anymore of these. Several times in the past 6-8 months, i've done a massive cull to my belongings. It got to a point where I felt I just had excess as most of them were not worn.

Thanks for letting me share.
