Colour Daze

So happy to finally see the sun, so why not frolic around in a mirage of colours that probably doesn't match each other, but are forced to.

Very excited to finally have the Wittner Topper Heels in Leopard Print, I have been wanting them for most of the year but then they sold out and came back and I missed out again, until I got them for my birthday. My current shoe wishlist got fulfilled this holiday season, yay!

It's Boxing Day here and it's so good to finally have some down time and a proper sleep in, the previous 3 days have been hectic. Even though sitting around with loved ones and eating doesn't sound hectic, I was very last minute with everything this year, so I've been doing nothing but rushing.

I hope you had a festive Christmas day and here's hoping that 2014 brings more adventures.

I purchased this ASOS dress about 2 or 3 years ago cos it was ridiculously dirt cheap and really loved the cut, plus I've always been drawn to white lace dresses. Though a short time after that purchase, I sort of fell out love with dresses. You know how you have those phases where you just go off certain things? At the time I felt dresses were just too dressy, top that with my irrational fear of having people accidentally see my undies, so off to the back of the closets they went.

I purchased this dress at the same time as I purchased this one shouldered doozy. So I guess I'm making this the year to wear what I thought I never would.

I hope you're having a stress free time so far now that Christmas is slowly creeping up. Speaking of creeping up, my birthday is on Tuesday and I love that it's so close to the festivities.

Sculptures By The Sea

A few photos from Sculptures By The Sea in Bondi from November that I'd forgotten to share.

Unfortunately the day wasn't so great with dark clouds and rain for most of the time we were there. Though I was really lucky to have seen Bondi at sunrise and got some really cool pics just as the dark clouds were rolling in.

This is my 2nd year seeing Sculptures By The Sea, loved it the first time so I think this will become a yearly thing. I'm not going to pretend I understand art, but I love seeing the individual items and ponder what the artists thought process was when creating them. Plus the Bondi to Tamarama walk is always beautifully scenic, wet or not.

Simple

It's December, tis' the season to be jolly. If by jolly, you mean stressed out then that saying is hitting the spot. Christmas time usually means holiday festivities or end of year parties and they usually require some sort of outfit. As if it's not already an expensive time of year, now you need to buy ensembles so you don't look the same in all the Facebook photos you're tagged in.

You have a few options, the cheapest being, changing your privacy status on Facebook so, you alone, are the only one who can see any photos you're tagged in and just wear the same outfit everywhere, or you could spend up big on "outfits" and just have a $10 limit for everyone you need to buy presents for, or be savvy and pull out your basic staple pieces and just accessorize them differently.

Monochromatic, whether they're still on trend or not, I haven't really been keeping tabs, is the best way to go. You cannot tell me you don't have a sparkly or a stand-out shoe or clutch in your wardrobe that you can just spice up your ensembles with. If you don't, go out and buy one and just say you conveniently forgot that you had a cousin-twice-removed that you had to buy a present for.

To sum it all up, plan ahead, rummage your wardrobe and maybe give yourself a resolution not to buy any more outfits until you wear all the items hanging in your wardrobe that still have tags on them *guilty*.
