Blouse

I'm totally in-love with this collarless blouse from Zara. As of late, I've been wanting everything in white and anything billowy. Deep down I think I'm craving for warmer weather so I can fill my wardrobe with white everything. I have a feeling it's going to be a very boho and white summer and I cannot wait! It especially doesn't help that Sydney is having the most horrendous weather, it's rained non-stop for 2 days now and it's getting very depressing.

I hope you're having better or at least warmer weather where you are.

Trench

This golden oldie is a surprise favourite of mine. The thought of a long coat overwhelms me emotionally and physically. I just feel like anything long swallows my frame, especially as I'm not the most tiniest person, vertically yes, but horizontally, no.

This old Zara trench has the best silhouette I've ever found in a trench. I wasn't really actively looking for a trench coat as they have never really appealed to me. During one of my lunch breaks a few years back and by lunch breaks, I mean Zara trips, and these Zara trips always resulted in a purchase. Lets just say I had to live on noodles for months. Zara had just opened in Sydney and I was completely smitten with anything and everything Zara. Anyways, I digress....where was I? Oh yeah, I stumbled upon this trench and the thing that drew me to it was it's amazing power shoulders. Everything was about power shoulders then. The bigger the better! The Dynasty wardrobe was definitely a great influence. Just lucky that the big teased hair wasn't in, or maybe it was and it just went over me.

I think the shoulder pads balances the whole trench out and this will definitely be a forever wardrobe staple.

Fluffy

It's been so ridiculously gloomy the past few days, which I wouldn't mind so much, except for the crazy humidity it brings. When it's gloomy my mind automatically assumes it will be cooler and it's very far from it.

I can't wait for the cooler months, there are leather jackets, coats and cardis in my closet just screaming to get worn, so it really can't come fast enough. Take this fluffy light pink cardi for instance, I mean the colour, the fact that it's fluffy, I'm not a girly girl when it comes to dressing but this makes me want to do my hair in pigtails and skip in a meadow in a flowy lace dress.

I'm having a severe light pink obsession at the moment, with finding my perfect nailpolish colour and my never ending hunt for the perfect light pink cocoon coat, so when I saw this light pink cardigan, I instantly fell in-love. The fluffiness makes it look so inviting and cozy and I suppose looking like a pink Yeti isn't so bad, right?

Reflection

I've been in love with Cameo's Reflection Bustier since it first came out in leopard print, but by the time I really deeply wanted it, the leopard print went extinct (pun intended!). Then came out this amazing print and instantly fell in-love. I was in luck, as it was about to be my birthday and Christmas at the same time and this was high on my wishlist.

I've been desperately trying to think of ways to dress it down and what better way than to stick a simple singlet and ripped skinny jeans with it. Plus I'm definitely not one to care about clashing prints, (just as long as you don't look like a shabby chic doona cover, which I love, but I don't want to look like one) with the black and white geometric print, teaming it with leopard print shoes and a statement red clutch was just a perfect combo for me.

Happy Australia Day Long Weekend to all!

Simple

It's December, tis' the season to be jolly. If by jolly, you mean stressed out then that saying is hitting the spot. Christmas time usually means holiday festivities or end of year parties and they usually require some sort of outfit. As if it's not already an expensive time of year, now you need to buy ensembles so you don't look the same in all the Facebook photos you're tagged in.

You have a few options, the cheapest being, changing your privacy status on Facebook so, you alone, are the only one who can see any photos you're tagged in and just wear the same outfit everywhere, or you could spend up big on "outfits" and just have a $10 limit for everyone you need to buy presents for, or be savvy and pull out your basic staple pieces and just accessorize them differently.

Monochromatic, whether they're still on trend or not, I haven't really been keeping tabs, is the best way to go. You cannot tell me you don't have a sparkly or a stand-out shoe or clutch in your wardrobe that you can just spice up your ensembles with. If you don't, go out and buy one and just say you conveniently forgot that you had a cousin-twice-removed that you had to buy a present for.

To sum it all up, plan ahead, rummage your wardrobe and maybe give yourself a resolution not to buy any more outfits until you wear all the items hanging in your wardrobe that still have tags on them *guilty*.
