Colour Blocks

I always love to inject pops of colour into whatever I wear. Even though these colour block shorts already add 3 colours into the outfit, I couldn't resist playing with more colours by adding some bright neons in the form of the shoes and bag.

It may look too much but I never like to look put together. I hate outfit cohesion and everything too matchy, I think it lacks creativity and individuality. If you think something looks right, go with it. At the end of the day you're the one wearing it and if it was a mistake, it's your mistake to make and learn from.

Breezy Pastels

During the hot sticky Australian summers, there's nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable and sweaty in what you're wearing, because trust me, I've been there and those summer days are very unforgiving.

Loose and airy pieces like this top and shorts are just perfect. They are simple yet versatile pieces that can be dressed up or down.

Don't forget the promo code for Otticanet.com HERE for savings on already great prices on sunglasses! Link to the one I'm sporting here, below.

Florals

I've had this One Teaspoon dress for probably 8-9 years now. It's one of those clothing items that I could never get rid of when I do closet clean outs. There have been some years where I don't remember I have it and don't wear it at all, but when I stumble upon it, I remember why I haven't been able to let it go.

I've altered the length of the dress by hiking parts of it up in different lengths and sewing large patterned buttons on the part where I want them to sit. It sounds hideous in writing but due to the buttons being patterned, you can hardly tell. I also think floral dresses will never go out of style. They get re-done from season to season and if you have a keeper like this one has turned out be, do not let it go.

I didn't want to look like a walking floral arrangement so I ended up teaming it with a denim jacket and rocker style ankle boots.

Dungarees

I've been loving all the dungarees/overalls I'm seeing at the moment. There are some really fun ones out there and I think after this one, I'm planning on getting my hands on a few more pairs. My Spring/Summer is going to be filled with these! Afterall, if I loved them at 13, I don't see why I can't love them again at 31. I know, I know, a lady should never reveal her age, but let's face it, I'm not even close to being lady-like.

Though when I first got these, I did a very rare thing where I asked The Boy what he thought of them and his response was somewhere along the lines of, "Are you becoming a Mario Bros?"
Once again, if I loved the Mario Bros at 13........well you get the point.

Whether I look like I'm auditioning to become the 3rd Mario Bros or a Chippy (Australian slang for Carpenter), I still like them and I will try to rock 'em!....(again!)
