So thankful for this amazing crystal clear day last week. I love being close to the water and every chance I get to go, I do. We spent the day lazing around this beach down the South Coast, a beach we'd never been to before. I love that it's secluded and not crazy busy so it's very peaceful.

I thought it was a good opportunity to wear this Zimmermann playsuit. The fact that it's white, a playsuit and broderie just ticked all the boxes for this perfect summer day.

Taking Comfort In Unflattering Whites

Ok, so I have now succumbed to the fact that light coloured pants, especially white jeans is just unflattering on me. I mean especially if they are white boyfriend jeans, at least the blue jeans are a little bit more forgiving, but the white jeans just make me look about 2" tall.

It's all good though cos these jeans are so comfortable. Plus I've been loving my all white ensembles of late. My theory is that the whiter the clothes, the more the heat deflects from you. Whether that's true or not, my mind seems to think so and it stops my brain and my physical self from having a melt down, pun intended.

Capturing the beauty of Sydney's Hyde Park during a beautiful Summer day. Nature wanted to show it's bright colours and I certainly did not want to compete.

Blame Madonna for wearing underwear as outerwear. But what better way to hop on the bandwagon than this saccharine hued zebra print onesie.

As soon as I saw this I knew I had to have it. It didn't matter whether it was ever going to see the light of day or not, it was just too cute to pass up. During one of our Spring time heatwaves, it was a good excuse to wear it. 

I wanted to give it some edge with an oversized distressed denim jacket. It's a perfect balance for me.

Optics, Neons and Cakes

Oh you, just working out in between demolishing a huge slice of cake

At my most happiest......

I had such a lovely day with my huge and crazy family. Not only was the company, lots of laugh great, but we were blessed with the best weather to enjoy it all, and not to mention this monstrous cake! There was actually 2 cakes, one was for my Uncles 50th, I was lucky to get a photo of the purple cake before it got demolished like the green and blue one. Both cakes are filipino flavoured cakes, the purple one is called an Ube Cake, Ube is basically Taro or Purple Yam. The green one, which is demolished on the side there in the last photo is Pandan Cake. Both cakes have 2 or 3 layers and in between layers are long strips of coconuts. It's my absolute favourite cake flavours.
