Chunky

There was probably a reason why it took me so damn long to find a good chunky knit sweater with a crew neckline, cos well, it makes me look chunky. Some divine intervention have tried to keep me away from it. But will it keep me away from it? Probably not! It's really not the most flattering on my extremely short torso, but when I'm wearing it, I'm just going to pretend I look like Cara Delevigne wearing a casual knitted sweater.

Enough about my chunkiness, let's gush over how amazing this sweater is. I have been searching high and low for one of these and I found it on the last place I'd ever look, which is Coles. If you're in Australia, you'd know that Coles is a Supermarket chain. Recently they have added an apparel line called Mix Apparel. Unfortunately my local Coles doesn't stock them but if you go on mixapparel.com.au, you will find which Coles Supermarket have the apparel line.

Due to the magic that is Instagram, one of the people I follow posted a photo of a black knitted and before reading what she had wrote underneath the picture I thought, this is probably an Acne sweater that will cost me an arm and a leg, but lo and behold, it was a $25 Mix Apparel item. Much to my excitement, it came in the two colours I'd been wanting in a sweater so naturally both colour were bought.

I hope you are all enjoying your warm sunny weekends!

Boyish

This is my take on boyish glam. Sometimes I wish I was taller and leaner so I could fulfill my love of wearing all things boyish and baggy. I love the non-chalance and carefree look of girls who can easily pull off baggy clothing. Unfortunately, being vertically (also horizontally!) challenged, it's a little more, err, challenging wearing extremely lose pieces without looking like Spongebob Squarepants.

It's been very hard wearing skinny jeans after my serious love-affair with boyfriend jeans developed over the summer. It's the perfect pants for everything, if it weren't a social faux pas to wear it to special occasions like say, a wedding, then there would be no stopping me. Imagine all the free food and drinks you could down with comfy boyfriend jeans at these lavish affairs? Not to mention you would never need to shave your legs again, OK maybe just the parts where the strategic rips are, after all, you need to at least look like you've made the effort.

Give me lazy and baggy any day over coiffured and uncomfortable, but don't quote on me that, my taste in clothes are a little bi-polar.

Taking Comfort In Unflattering Whites

Ok, so I have now succumbed to the fact that light coloured pants, especially white jeans is just unflattering on me. I mean especially if they are white boyfriend jeans, at least the blue jeans are a little bit more forgiving, but the white jeans just make me look about 2" tall.

It's all good though cos these jeans are so comfortable. Plus I've been loving my all white ensembles of late. My theory is that the whiter the clothes, the more the heat deflects from you. Whether that's true or not, my mind seems to think so and it stops my brain and my physical self from having a melt down, pun intended.

Capturing the beauty of Sydney's Hyde Park during a beautiful Summer day. Nature wanted to show it's bright colours and I certainly did not want to compete.

Have a lovely Friday!

White Not?

How perfect is a white outfit to show off a tan? Admittedly I don't have much of a tan expect for my arms when they got burnt a few weekends ago. While I don't condone laying out in the sun and possibly catching melanoma, there's just something about a sunkissed skin.

As much as I love to complain about the heat, having a natural dose of Vitamin D gives you a little spring in your step.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Exploring

The one thing The Boy and I love to do is explore, his love for maps fuels these adventures. Don't get me wrong, we're not outdoorsy in a way where we rock climb or scale things, no, not that kind of adventures. First of all I have the upper body strength of a 2 year old and not exactly the fittest person, so "exploring" new areas around the city is what we love to do.

A few weeks ago, we did just that. We'd never been around this area of the city before, but we've always seen it along the way when we're on a Ferry. Ferry rides are one of my favourite things to do. Even though I've been on them a few times, the novelty will never wear away, the views are just amazing!

It's now Spring in Sydney and I think it's going to be a beautiful one! It just goes to show you don't need to get on a plane and go to a different country to discover something new.

Enjoy the weekend and explore a place you've never been to.
