Reef Print

To say that I've always wanted this Josh Goot reef print vest is an understatement. Did I ache for it? Maybe (ok yes, very badly!). To be honest, I would have given up my furry friends for it! Poor things!

Even though it's older season, and everyone has seen it and is probably sick of it by now, this to me just cements the fact that I wasn't just crushing on it at the time. I love it so much that I know I will be rocking this for years to come (and not just the fact that I take 5 seconds of my mornings while getting dressed, to take it out, sit down and pat it and marvel at how beautiful it is), cue insane music. Is it also weird that it calms me and makes me happy?

Unfortunately I do not have the financial freedom to always have the latest IT items. Im a true shop-a-holic at heart and I also love fashion in general, so there will always be things I'll covet, but it's like picking your battles, you can't always win/have them all.

Remember to never let the things you want, make you forget the things you have.

Colour Comeback

It seems my colourful ways temporarily left me there for a while. It's really not like me to go for such long periods of time without wearing something bright. Unfortunately for my colourless phase, my wardrobe consists of so much colour, that even when I try, a tiny splash of colour will always appear.

Now it's back with a vengeance!

Cowabunga!

This Ninja Turtles jumper last seen here is honestly one of my favourite purchases from the U.S. Strange thing is, I try not wear it as much as I don't want to ruin it or wear it down. I am odd like that.

Our winter weather has been ridiculous! In the shade, theres a slight chill, but as soon as you're in the sun, it gets bloody hot! But I am not complaining, I am loving the warmer sunny winters. Excuse the blinding white legs, I need a serious tan!

Enjoy your weekend folks!

Perfectly Paisley

Beautiful prints and vibrant colours are my weakness. The more eye-catching the item, you'll bet I want it. When I saw these pants, it was love at first sight. Never mind the fact that they're meant to be "Lounge Wear". If the "Pyjama Wear" craze can go on, then I can step out in "Lounge Wear", who's to know? The best thing is that this can be dressed up or down and can be very seasonal. Seasonal for Australian weather I mean. I wouldn't fancy wearing these in sub zero temps unless I had 3 pairs of thermals underneath.

In this outfit, I decided to pick up the vibrant pinks, matching it with my neon Kors bag, worn as a clutch and neon Loubs (can I be buried in these? please!). How awesome is this cute $5 necklace I picked up at Colette? Gotta love sales season. Speaking of bargains, I picked up this button down shirt a few months ago at my local Coles for $5. I also grabbed this already cheap pants at a bargain with a coupon code, so this is literally a $24 outfit, including the necklace, without the bag, shoes & sunnies that is. Frugal Fiend strikes again!

Army, Nautical and Neon

This vest is such a life saver when it's windy and you're wearing something short, and I cannot get enough it! It's also such a great item during transitional seasons when the weather is still trying to decide what it wants to be when it grows up.

Stripes, anything neon and ankle boots are my biggest weakness. I hoard these things like a Bower bird, collecting the same items so I can attract a mate. I'm not really trying to attract a mate per say, i'm pretty sure the boy can't compute half the items I wear anyway. Like the time I asked him what he thought of the Sass and Bide harness, he asked why I needed a harness and if I was a horse. Enough said.

There's just something about stripes that attract me to it, I can't even come close to explaining it, but it just seems to look good on anyone and with anything. Neons, I can explain a little better, I love colour, the brighter the better. Ankle boots, doesn't really need much explaining. Even if you're vertically challenged, they look good. I've tried knee high and mid-calf boots, but they just don't have the same edge as what ankle boots can give you. These Jeffrey Campbell boots are my most favourite, they're not clunky in look and weight. I have sandals heavier than these boots and that's very hard to come by. This is definitely a winter staple.

Phosphorous Statement

While there's nothing wrong with being vanilla, you add some toppings, you take the flavour experience to new heights. Aside from that crappy metaphor, I guess you could say my philosophy has always been simple dressing and bold statement accessories.

Playing with simple basics, like a simple slouchy tee and trashed denim cut offs can be a great foundation to endless style possibilities. The white blazer was added so no other colour competed with the phosphorous yellow clutch. The only other colour addition was in the turquoise in my ring. I have always loved the colour combo of yellow and blue. Due to the outfit being so simple, the addition of the black and gold leather harness and glittery heels still didn't feel way too much for me. But then again, I have always loved the bolder the statement the better.
