Aileen

I received these Tony Bianco 'Aileen' Heels for my Birthday/Christmas. I've been lusting after black lace-up heels like the Azzedine Alaia Heels after seeing them on Barbara Martello here

I'm never going to be her no matter how much I wish for it, nor am I ever going to afford the real deal and even if I could afford them, I would need to move heaven and earth to actually locate them in my size.

Then Tony Bianco decided to make a look-alike for me (yes the world revolves around me - I wish!). I was super excited when I came across them and now I am ridiculously obsessed with them even if it takes about half an hour to put each shoe on.

Have a lovely weekend folks!

Bright & Casual

Spring is meant to be a little warmer than say, Winter or Autumn. However Spring has started off to be a scorcher. Where else can you have 32 degrees Celsius Spring days?  I was hoping to sport some trans-seasonal gear but it looks like we're diving straight into Summer, and summer calls for loose fitting crop tops, yes this is as cropped as I'll ever go. Though I bought this top about 3-4 sizes too big as I wanted it to be a little longer, plus I wanted the airy-ness it would provide during the dry humid days to come.

I hope you're all having a fun-filled weekend!

Sunsets and Blings

You could say that I develop attachments to materialistic things. My excuse is that I appreciate a lot of things and there are just too many pretty things out there.

One of the things I'm very loyal to is my jewellery. I like them to be simplistic and very wearable/durable with an edge. For example, the Argentium stack rings that I bought from Etsy nearly 2 years ago, I have not left the house without one of them attached to my digits. They were dirt cheap (I'm talking $5 each!), I wash my hands with them and wear them day in day out to work and there is not a scratch or disfigurement in them. But I have been meaning to add to my repertoire of jewels and finally bit the bullet on these Luv Aj items.

I have been wanting a handpiece or slave bracelet for ages but had always been worried about how they would wear or whether they were everyday friendly. Let's just say they haven't left my hand since I got them. I absolutely love them! Don't even get me started on ear cuffs!

I'm just really crushing on The Luv Aj Shark Tooth Collection at the moment.

Americana

I haven't been well for the past few days, 3rd time getting the flu this season, which really sucks. I'm finally feeling a little better apart from the fact that I sound like a pre-pubescent boy with a really bad cold.

I've probably harped on a few posts about how amazingly sunny this Winter has been. This past week, it has been ridiculously hot and Winter hasn't even officialy ended yet. This tells me that this summer is going to be a scorcher!

What better way to welcome the warmer months than shooting this outfit poolside, in what I will probably be living in this summer, distressed denim shorts and loose tee's. Oh who am I kidding, I've lived in these for the past few summers.

Relaxed

I have recently jumped on the relaxed-pants bandwagon. Due to my vertically challenged frame, I always thought relax fitted pants would look like pyjammas on me, they probably do, but just humour me.

I am especially loving all the printed ones I'm currently seeing at the moment. They not only come in amazing graphic prints, but also fun colours. However, one can never go wrong with black white. Take these French Connection ones I'm wearing, they are so versatile, you can dress them down with flats or sandals, or take them to night with heels. The fabric is also quite light and I can definitely see them being worn during the warmer months.

But because I love a good clashing print, I just couldn't stay away from wearing them with this Sass & Bide chevron harness.

Happy Hump Day!
