Neon Whites

I've been lusting after a short suit for a while now. I originally wanted a red pair after seeing Miroslava Duma donning a pair, though hers was a red pants suit, I just loved the fun idea of short suits.

I managed to locate these gorgeous red shorts a few months ago on sale, then a few weeks after that I also found a red blazer on sale, I was so excited! Only to come home and find the reds just do not match each other. It was a little disappointing, but when I found that red blazer, there was also a white blazer next to it for $14.95. Score! Now the idea of a white short suit was brewing inside. I however have a serious fear of white bottoms. I've tried buying white jeans before, but was never game enough to wear them and every pair of white shorts I found was see through. Trust me, no body needs to see any more than they should. Then I thought, maybe look outside the box and go for a different material. A few months back I scored a pair of faux leather shorts on eBay for $9.95, so I decided to check if that seller had the same pair in a white, and the rest as they say is history.

I like to inject points of interest in each outfit, so a white short suit was just not going to cut it without a statement. The neon orange bra under a semi-see through cami was a $10 find at Mosman Clothing and have been dying to incorporate it to an outfit. So my outfit totals to $44.95, sans bag, Louboutins and accessories of course. One of my necklaces cost more than my outfit for goodness sakes!

This is why I'm such a huge believer in it's not what you wear, but how you wear it. I'm also a great believer in investment pieces. Investment pieces for me are accessories, like rings, necklaces, shoes and bags. I'm not a Kardashian or any kind of celebrity, so outfits and especially accessories will get repeated numerous times. Due to their quality, there will be longevity. While clothing for me, there are a lot of places where you can find bargain buys and create looks for much less than you think.
